The Prince's Walk, soon after Vantis had first scattered seeds there

The  Great Waste is a region of the inworld.

History[]

The waste and the lands surrounding it were controlled by the Charnish empire for many centuries, and most existing states (such as Thrane and Tashar) were formed by former Charnish slaves. Many years after the fall of Charn, trade routes were established through the waste to connect Thrane and Tashar with Corhyr and the Dwarven Principalities.

Description[]

Great Waste is a huge desert between Corhyr, Thrane and Tashar, as well as surrounding regions that (while still arid) are home to flora and fauna to some extent. Though dangerous to traverse, the Great Waste can sometimes be beautiful. In the heart of a sandstorm in the waste, it is said that it is possible to hear the voice of the Lord of the Wastes in the howling winds, and converse with him. Worship of this grim deity is common across the wastes, particularly by sand elves and in less civilized areas.

In the Campaign[]

Vantis scattered seeds along the southern half of the road from Daln to Tal Dara and then used his power (granted to him when he released Imaan from his imprisonment) to make the vegetation grow. This area is now woodland, and has become known as the Prince's Walk.
